At Sora International Preschool’s Torrance campus, Japanese and English are part of daily conversations and activities. Our preschool and after-school programs bring language learning together with hands-on discovery, outdoor play, and caring support for each child.
Japanese and English, every day
Language grows through using it. Through everyday conversations and activities, children have opportunities to develop both Japanese and English and build confidence in expressing their thoughts.
Phonics activities and English reading and writing practice also help children develop foundations for literacy and communication.
Room to explore, create, and play
A hands-on project gives children something to wonder about, try, and work through. STEAM and creative activities encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving, while homework support helps extend learning in the after-school program.
Outdoor play is another part of the day. Children move their bodies, enjoy fresh air, and practice playing together.

Friendships, independence, and self-esteem matter alongside language and learning. At Sora, we value a warm, supportive environment where each child’s growth receives caring attention.

Sora International Preschoolのトーランス校では、日々の会話や活動の中で、日本語と英語にふれます。プリスクールとアフタースクールのプログラムを通して、言葉を学ぶ時間、手を動かして考える時間、外で遊ぶ時間を大切にしながら、一人ひとりの成長を支えています。
毎日の中で、日本語と英語にふれる
言葉は、使うことで育っていきます。日々の会話や活動を通して、日本語と英語の両方に親しみ、自分の考えを伝える自信を育みます。
フォニックスを使った活動や英語の読み書きの練習も取り入れ、文字や言葉への理解を深めていきます。
やってみる、つくる、外で遊ぶ
「どうなるのかな」「やってみたい」。体験型のプロジェクトには、子どもたちが自分で考え、試すきっかけがあります。STEAMや創造的な活動を通して、好奇心や創造力、問題を解決する力を育てます。アフタースクールでは、宿題のサポートも行います。
外遊びも毎日の大切な時間です。体を動かし、外の空気にふれ、友だちと一緒に遊ぶ中で、協力することも学んでいきます。
