Programs
There are three ways to attend Sora: the preschool, five days a week; TK After School at our Torrance campus; and the Summer Program. Choose the one that fits your family.
Soraには、3つの通い方があります。平日に毎日通うプリスクール。トーランス校のTKアフタースクール。そして夏のサマープログラム。ご家庭に合った形で始められます。

Preschool
プリスクール
This is our main program.
Soraのメインコースです。
We keep three balances in mind: freedom and discipline, individuality and cooperation, intellect and sensibility. Music, art, outdoor play, and language activities are part of every day. These are the years that build the foundation for a child to move freely in the world ahead.
自由と規律、個性と協調、知性と感性のバランスを大切にしながら、音楽、アート、外遊び、ことばの活動を毎日の中に置いています。子どもたちが未来の社会で自由に羽ばたくための、基礎をつくる時間です。

TK After School, Torrance Campus
TKアフタースクール（トーランス校）
This after-school program is for children in TK, transitional kindergarten, the year before kindergarten. After TK lets out, they spend the afternoon in the classrooms and yard of our Torrance campus.
キンダーガーテンの前の学年、TK（トランジショナル・キンダーガーテン）に通うお子さんのためのアフタースクールです。TKが終わったあとの午後を、トーランス校の教室と園庭で過ごします。
Materials they can choose for themselves, a calm classroom, teachers with a gentle manner. In the same Sora Method environment as our preschool, children play with friends, use their hands, and share their own ideas. With a Japanese-speaking teacher present, it is also an afternoon spent with Japanese. Both Sora preschool graduates and children new to Sora are welcome. Choose 2 - 5 days a week.
自分で選べる教材、落ち着いた教室、穏やかに関わる先生。プリスクールと同じSoraメソッドの環境のなかで、友達と遊び、手を動かし、自分の考えを話します。日本語で話す先生がいるので、日本語にふれる午後にもなります。Soraのプリスクールを卒園したお子さんも、はじめてのお子さんも通えます 。通う日数は週2〜5日から選べます。

Summer Program
サマープログラム
Sora Palo Alto Campus (2011–2020)
A few weeks in summer to experience daily life at Sora. Crafts, water play, cooking, outdoor play. Japanese and English come out naturally in the course of play.
夏の数週間、Soraの毎日を体験できます。工作、水遊び、料理、外遊び。遊びの中で、日本語と英語が自然に口から出てくるプログラムです。
For a child new to Sora, it is a way to get to know the teachers and friends before the school year begins, and we recommend it to incoming families. Currently enrolled children are asked to attend at least two weeks to hold their place for the coming year.
はじめてのお子さんにとっては、先生や友達と顔なじみになってから新年度を迎えられる入口です。新入園のお子さんには参加をおすすめしています。在園のお子さんは、翌年度の席を確保するために2週間以上の参加をお願いしています。
つくば校との交流

Our Tsukuba campus in Japan, opened in 2023, runs the same curriculum as our California campuses. Children from California join the Summer Program in Tsukuba, and children from Tsukuba come to California.
2023年に開校した日本のつくば校は、カリフォルニアの校舎と同じカリキュラムで運営しています。カリフォルニアの子どもたちがつくば校のサマープログラムに参加したり、つくば校の子どもたちがカリフォルニアに来る交流があります。
For families who may return to Japan, it is a place to continue the same education after arriving. Some children spend the summer with grandparents in Japan and attend the Tsukuba campus while they are there.
帰国のご予定があるご家庭には、日本に着いてからも同じ教育を続けられる場所になります。日本の祖父母のもとで夏を過ごしながら、つくば校に通うという使い方もできます。
